If the price of gasoline has got you scared, and you’re thinking about maybe trading in your car for a moped, you’ve got half the solution right. It might be time to trade in your car, but forget the moped – get a hybrid car instead.
The dictionary defines the word hybrid as: Offspring resulting from breeding between parents of two different species, and that’s a good definition for our purposes.
That’s because a hybrid car has a power plant that’s a cross between a gasoline powered engine and an electric motor.

Luxury car manufacturer BMW India opened its dealership facility, OSL Prestige, on the Eastern Metropolitan Bypass in Kolkata on Wednesday. This is the company's first dealership in the eastern region and has the capacity to display five cars in its 4,300 square foot showroom.

Indian automobile manufacturer Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) has reported an increase of 16 percent in its total sales for the month of June 2012 selling 41,322 units in comparison to 35,584 units sold in the same month in 2011. The passenger vehicle segment which comprises utility vehicles and the Verito sedan raked up sales of 19,792 units in June 2012, an increment of 23 percent over 16,053 units sold in June 2011.
